Doctrine Commission:

Is the theological organ of the Conference, as a “consultative body instituted to aid the Episcopal Conference itself and the individual bishops in their solicitude for the correct teaching of the faith”. It promotes communication of the teaching of the faith, the writing of theological books, establishment of good relations with theologians in seminaries and universities, monitors the doctrinal health of theological publications (censorship) and collaborates with other commissions of the Episcopal Conference.
