The Executive Board is the Working organ of the Conference. It is aided by the General Secretariat, is responsible for the continuity of the Conference’s activities between Plenary meetings. The Chairman OF THE Conference normally convenes and presides over the sessions of the Executive Board. He acts as the UEC link with the Apostolic See, with other Episcopal Conferences and other bodies.
The current office bearers for the Uganda Episcopal Conference (UEC), were elected by the Bishops on November 11, 2018, during their Plenary Assembly held at St. Augustine Nsambya, Kampala.
Rt. Rev. Joseph Antony Zziwa the Bishop of Kiyinda-Mityana Diocese was elected as Chairman replacing Most Rev. John Baptist Odama, Archbishop of Gulu, who has served two terms of four years. Rt. Rev. Robert Muhiirwa Bishop of Fort Portal was elected as Vice Chairman, Replacing Rt.Rev. Joseph Antony Zziwa, the current Chairman.
Rt. Rev. Sanctus Lino Wanok, Bishop of Lira Diocese was elected as Vice Chairman, Replacing Rt. Rev. Robert Muhiirwa.
